Baby Stroller Car Seat Combinations

The All New Combi Centre Car Seat
Combi Centre Car Seat is one of the latest introductions from Combi which brings several variations into the constant stream of infant cars seats. It is ideal for children weighing 22 to 33 pounds. With a 5 – point harness and an installable base combined with an extremely narrow back, it is easily usable beside other car seats. These new features ensure a safe and a comfortable position for the child.
The new Combi Centre Car Seat has in addition to this several advantages. It comes aided with a narrow back which gives an added leverage to bigger children and allows them to buckle themselves in a more reclining and convenient position. It can further be reclined into four different positions as per the comfort and choice of the child.
The five point harness system, being the one of most recommended measures for safety reasons is added to this infant car seat. This provides a better fit and maximum protection under different kinds of circumstances. The material used is easily removable and washable and adds comfort to the entire system. Seven kinds of adjustments can be made to the entire system without rethreading the entire harness. This comes with a full padding and Tru Safe Side Impact Protection and a Tru Safe Buckle with an indicator. It also comes equipped with a two piece retainer clip which makes it much more serviceable. Thus the Five point harness system is a great advantage and definitely one of the most recommendable qualities of this particular infant car seat.
The base of this particular infant car seat is effortless to install and can be easily done with the help of seatbelts. Without any latch, it can be installed with the help of seatbelts when the base is not available; added to this is a very exclusive in built lock system for the security of the baby.
More importantly this new infant car seat has a tight harness which is highly recommended by safety experts. It also comes into place with the help of a single button thus making it easier to use. It also comes with EPS foam provided in and around the area of the head for the safety of the child. With the release handle placed at the rear end of the carrier it becomes easy to remove the base from the center. It also comes in with a canopy which is easily adaptable.
The Combi Centre Car Seat is an elegant and stylish infant carrier which comes in a dark grey colored patterned material with lime green trimmings. The seat is extremely comfortable with a stuffed back for the convenience of the infant, also since the handle is curved and has rubber padding on it a firmer grip on the seat is ensured.
All in all it would be a fair conclusion to say that Combi has launched an infant car seat both chic and comfortable which also ensures the safekeeping of the child. The product is definitely not cheap, but is certainly a good value for your money.

Which car seat/stroller would you recommend?
Hello - I am due end of this Summer and looking forward to buying some baby gear at this point. One of must have, I believe, is a car seat. I heard that you get combination car seats these days that can be used as rear facing initially and later converted to front facing. But my friends suggested to buy those seperately as the convertible car seat won't be comfy for the new born when rear facing.
I was searching over net and Graco seems like a stike between money and safety. Do you recommend a particular brand & model for the rear facing and front facing car seats? Where did you get those? How much is reasonable to spend on it?
I read about Graco travel system that can be attached to stroller as well. What do you think?
Thanks so much for your help.
Safety wise, there is little to no reason to ever put a car seat on a stroller, even if they're designed for it. The safest position for a baby to be in and to sleep in is as flat on their back as possible for the first 6 months. When they're in the curled inclined position of most car seats then their chin can rest against their chest and their breathing is affected. Experts have said that the car seat should be used for car-travel, and avoided for sleeping, riding in strollers, carts, etc. Basically, take them out when you're not using it in the car. (And be aware this sort of position is duplicated in a lot of baby products. Swings, bouncers, some strollers, etc. They've said to try and limit the amount of time in that position to 2 hours a day until they're 3-6 months old. 3 months they can usually handle a slight incline.)
So I wouldn't recommend any combo that would be used together like that. As far as strollers go, the Graco Quatro Tour lays flat I believe, and the Chicco brand lays flat. I love my Baby Trend jogging stroller (which is never used for jogging by me) and that's approved for 2 months up because it lays ALMOST flat (you can't jog with them at that age though, but I don't use it for jogging.) For those 2 months it would be easy to just put the baby in a chest-carrier rather than a stroller, they're so small and chest carriers haven't had any breathing problems associated with them even though the baby is sitting up in them for some reason (they think it's because the baby can feel the parent breathing and that reminds them to breathe as well.)
I do love convertible car seats, but they aren't always molded around the baby as well as an infant car seat is. Also I find they're far harder to lay down at the critical 45 degree angle a newborn needs. So we went and got an infant car seat for the first year, and then we'll switch the baby over to a Graco My-Ride probably (rear-faces to 40lbs, then forward to 65lbs.) I love the Britax brand but they're a little too expensive for us right now.
As far as infant car seats, I went with the Graco 35 which is an infant carrier designed for 35lbs and 32 inches if I'm not mistaken. My daughter, who's 2 and small, could legally still ride in it, but I don't think it'd be comfortable after a certain age to be laying down like it puts them to lay down. What I liked about it was that the base has a knob so you can adjust the recline in the car seat to get that important 45 degree recline without having to do little tricks like how some people put a towel under the car seat or something like that. Chicco was the second one we were considering because of it's reputation for being very safe. Baby Trend I considered until I tried it out and found that the buckle is a really annoying design and I could see me getting annoyed with it and see my husband getting completely frustrated and angry with it.
We got our Britax from Babies R Us for $200 I think it was. Our Graco-65 My Ride we got from Target because the patterns are atrocious unless you look around and it was $179, but now you can find them for $129-159. The Graco-35 we got from Babies R Us with a coupon for 20% off and it was on sale as well so I think we spent like $100 for it instead of the $149. We would have gotten the Chicco or Baby Trend from Babies R Us because they have a wider selection.
